DARK FUNERAL CANCEL UNHOLY FEST, ANNOUNCE REPLACEMENT SHOW IN ZABRZE CITY [PL] | READ BLOG FOR MORE INFO.

Just like countless of other bands, we have, unfortunately, also been forced cancel our show at
the Unholy Fest. It actually seems like this festival was never going happen in the first place, and just a big scam already from the beginning. The promotor seems to have disappeared from the surface of the earth, whereof we, and as it seems, also many other bands, simply have no other option but to cancel.
This sure sucks for us, who were really looking forward to this show, as much as we know it does for all of you who already have purchased tickets and made arrangement for the fest. We do hope that all of you who have bought tickets will be fully refunded by the organizer though!
Thanx to Lechosław Wilk (Blood Fire Death Festival) and our booking agency Dragon Productions, we have been fortunate enough to arrange a replacement show in this very last minute. So instead of playing Unholy Fest, that most likely not going to happen anyway, we will instead play at Club "CK Wiatrak" in Zabrze City on July 25 [http://www.wiatrak.art.pl].
Since it's a last-minute show, and we want to fill the place to it's entirely, the ticket price is set to only 10?. Local Support-acts will be announced shortly. So, let's now forget about the screwed up Unholy Fest. And let's together make this to a killer night and show at Club "CK Wiatrak" in Zabrze city!

Vzhledem k neserioznímu jednání ze strany pořadatele Unholy Festu, který se má konat ve dnech 23.-25.07. v Ostravě, ROOT na této akci nevystoupí. Celý projekt je zřejmě podvod, doporučujeme vám neobjednávat si vstupenky přes e-mail festivalu. Svou účast oficiálně zrušily další kapely: Amon Amarth, Obituary, Cradle Of Filth, Impaled Nazarene, Gorgoroth, Hate, Enslaved, Taake... Festival se pravděpodobně vůbec neuskuteční.

SHINING PULLS OUT OF UNHOLY FEST
Like fellow musicians TAAKE we have been forced to pull out of Unholy Fest that was due to take place in Ostrava, CZ on the 24th of July. Despite our best efforts not to disappoint the fans, the promoter refuses to answer our emails, has not signed a contract and has not met any of his financial or other obligations. We are sorry about this, but we have no other option. It seems there are more and more cowboys out there these days, and the only people they are hurting are the fans. Hopefully we will be able to play in CZ at a later date, but this time with promoters who keep their word.

July 23, Unholy Festival, Ostrava, Czech Republic is cancelled.
The promoter has broken the terms of his contract so we have had no choice but to withdraw and that we have asked him to stop using the COF name on his website etc. We apologise for any disappointment and COF fans who have bought festival tickets to see COF should approach the promoter to request a refund of their ticket price, if they do not wish to attend the festival.

Due to the organizer has not followed up the terms of the contract we regret to announce the cancellation of HATE's appearance at the Unholy Festival, Czech Rep, July 2009. We would like to stress that we have done our best to avoid this cancellation, but there was no good will from the organizers side. "Moj stosunek do calej sytuacji - mam to w dupie. Jak pisalem odnosnie UF - zostalem tam zatrudniony w stricte okreslonym celu - zabookowac zespoly. Jako pracownik zrobilem swoje. Nie mam wplywu na to ze promotor nie wypelnil warunkow umow z kapelami. Tak samo jak kasjer w biedronce nie ma wplywu na polityke firmy czy ceny w tym sklepie. W kwietniu skonczylem bookowac sklad rownoczesnie konczac prace przy fescie. Mial byc fajny fest, ale go najprawdopodobnie nie bedzie. I co ja na to poradze? Mam na ten fest taki sam wplyw jak i Ty:)
